Add a serene touch to your tea table with this cute elephant tea pet. Each one is handmade from genuine Yixing Duan clay, giving it a unique, artisanal feel.
The elephant’s headscarf features the Chinese character ‘Fu’ (福), which is a blessing of happiness and good luck. Its gently closed eyes give it a peaceful, meditative look, adding a sense of calm to your tea time. It could happily become your favorite companion during quiet, reflective tea sessions.
Auspiciousness and good fortune
The tea pet’s original name is 吉象如意 (Jíxiàng Rúyì), which is a playful twist on words. Here, 象 (xiàng) means ‘elephant’ and sounds like 祥 (xiáng), which means ‘auspicious.’ The phrase 吉祥如意 (Jíxiáng Rúyì) is a traditional Chinese blessing that wishes good luck and that all your wishes come true. This clever wordplay makes this delightful elephant tea pet a symbol of good fortune.
