The Masahiro MV petty measures 150 mm and is made from Masahiro’s own MBS-26 steel: a dependable stainless alloy that holds an edge well and is straightforward to maintain. These knives are strong and precise, built for heavy use. The full-tang handle is slightly larger than is typical for Japanese western-style knives, which suits cooks with larger hands or those who simply prefer a more substantial grip. The blade is decorated with a Meiji-era ornamental motif, a quiet nod to Japanese craft history.
