This is a superior-grade Tenmoku tea cup in Lian Kou shape, glazed with a silver-coloured ‘oil spot’ pattern and bronze rim. Typically, with this shape, the rim is slightly curved towards the inside of the cup. Every piece has a unique pattern, naturally formed during oven firing at 1300ºC.
